Babe in the Woods: Path of Totality (Book 3)
Babe in the Woods: Path of Totality is the third in a three-book series about my life in a wilderness log cabin.
Between making and marketing art, and piecing together a living as a freelance writer and arts educator, I continue to spend weeks and months alone at the cabin. Here time is measured by the juniper’s lengthening shadows, the ever-rushing creek, the changing seasons, and finding the prize of one’s self between the spaces.
For half a century this cabin has supported me as others in my life have passed on. I still use the same tools and do the work I did as an 18-year-old fresh out of orthodontic braces. Nothing has changed, except the outer face of the log walls and the author, who continues to read and write by the light of kerosene lamps she first used as a teenager.
