All of my landscape paintings are done on location, mainly in the Pacific Northwest, in varied environments and weather conditions. A large body of my work is done during the full moon usually between the hours of 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. Working from a pallet of limited colors I capture the waxing and waning moon light on mountain tops, in high-desert valleys or upon ocean waves.
Other paintings are developed around themes and exploration of surface. |
